Back home, we pray (to the goddess of wealth and prosperity as she is believed to visit everyone this time of the year), eat sweets, have hearty (vegetarian) meals and light fireworks with friends and family.
Back home 1 billion of us are in the streets lighting up fireworks, from 2 year olds to all those capable enough to walk out on the streets and light something. AND after those celebrations are done, we play cards (going back to what I said about the goddess of wealth visiting everyone and sharing the wealth (sounds like she was in the obama campaign eh
).
Of course being far from home and even with the mrs. traveling, other than praying, probably eating a veggie bean burrito for dinner and catching a movie, I dont think there's much I will be doing.

Hindu's are traditionally vegetarian.... other than religious holidays, you can count me out of that lot.

heck no, in fact I was supposed to be on Holiday from monday (with the rest of the week off) but had to cancel my holiday because of an important assignment at work. I was supposed to be with the mrs. out west and of course she's upset I haven't made it out there.www.mjwebhosting.com
