30 Minutes of Obama

Obama is taking over the airwaves tonight, appearing on NBC, CBS & FOX, plus a couple of cable networks, I think. What are folks expecting? I'm guessing it's going to be some sort of video akin to the one that ran at the Dem. convention. Can't imagine he'd use that time to just give a speech or something.

I too am interested to see what he's got up his sleeve.

I also heard that this is going to be aired in 78 other countries as well.

Have people in other countries been following this election closely? Do they even care? I'd be interested to hear what citizens from other countries think of the two candidates. I couldn't see many being in support of McCain when Obama plans to make this country more 'European'.

I agree too. I don't see the upside for this 30 minutes considering he's far ahead. If anything, McCain should attack on Obama's wasteful spending by paying for this event.

I'm kinda inclined to agree as well. He's already bought the time, though, so I guess it would look cocky to not use it. Kinda screwed either way.

The Department of Defense’s current base budget is close to $500 billion.

So if the Messiah actually plans to make good on that promise, he plans on a total defense budget of about a trillion dollars.

What exactly is Obama planning to do with a “civilian force” with such an astronomical level of funding? And who the fuck is gonna pay for it ???
