In the last several years, Paco Osuna has made a
steady ascent from "Paco who?" to one of the most
in-demand headliners on the international scene.
Starting his DJ career in the mid 90's, his mastery
behind 3 decks and unconventional sense of groove
soon landed him a residency at Ibiza's famed
Amnesia club, where he continued to hone his craft
alongside Sven Vath and other elite DJs. His
famously intense sets, which fuse the best of
techno and house in a dramatic ride of tension-
building and release, have won him prime slots at
most major international clubs and music festivals
including Sonar, Love Parade, WMC, and the DEMF,
to name just a few. If you're a fan of peak hour
"hard minimal" a la Richie Hawtin, Marco Carola,
and Adam Beyer, Paco's 3 hour SF debut is
something you definitely don't want to miss!

PACO OSUNA (aka Osuna, Smoke Paper Inc.)
Paco Osuna Perez was born in Barcelona in 1974, and his passion for music started out when he was very young. At the tender age of 14 he was part of a regular crowd at Studio 54, where the most charismatic DJ, Raul Orellana, was spinning Acid House, marking Paco in the way of understanding DJing.
In '94 Paco moved to Valencia where he had his first contact with the decks as a hobby. In '95 Paco made his first DJ set as a professional at the ACTV club, where he gained a year residency. After that, he started playing in many different clubs including Heaven and Universal.
In the meanwhile he worked in a record shop, where he got access to a recording studio in which he produced three singles for the label Lucas Records. In '99 he got a residency at Amnesia in Ibiza. There he had the brilliant opportunity to be lined up with the biggest DJs and could learn the different styles, looking to build his own. Amnesia was also the place where Paco got in touch with the person who most influenced his future as much personally as professionally, Sven Väth, who soon discovered Paco to be very talented and introduced him in his Cocoon Booking agency. Paco was the first Spanish DJ to play for this prestigious agency.
In 2001 Paco decided to migrate away from House music, moving closer to Techno. From then on his career has gotten better and better, leading him to the best clubs and festivals in the world. Being at home in both House and Techno, as well as in the fusion between them, Paco Osuna understands his sets as an "in-crescendo"-journey causing variations of tension that drive the dancefloor crazy. The combination of this factor and his unquestionable technical skills has led to Paco being considered one of the most solid promises of the international scene.
