man, that is sad just because that tells you a lot about his campaing people, i mean, you would like some of this shit to be very well planned, that way you dont look like a complete tool.

I think it's because deep down, McCain is probably a good guy who has been a diligent servant to his country for a long, long time, but who has had his campaign run by incompetent Rovian ideologues that left him a shell of the man that was universally liked by republicans and democrats alike just 8 years ago...

Reminds me of Dan Marino a bit. Marino had a magnificent career by any standard but he stuck around too long and ended his career with a humiliating performance against the Jaguars where Ashley Ambrose, a Jacksonville cornerback, was his leading receiver with two interceptions before he was benched. I didn't think that Marino necessarily deserved a ring -- there's lots of great players that never won a Championship -- but I still thought he deserved better than to have his last day in uniform be riding the pine after an embarrassingly abysmal performance.

A bit of a bummer. Perhaps if he'd run like McCain 2000, though, he wouldn't be in this spot, so I don't feel that sorry for him.

hes not a bad guy imo. his wife seems a bit oddbeans. and i like his strength even though he knows hes not winning the stupid polls.
