Re: absinthe
Absinthe rules.
It doesnt give you any more of a hangover than other booze does (well, i cant vouch for the immitation absinthes, but the real stuff is fine)
this stuff is readily available in Ibiza (its distilled there)
Many fond memories of drinking this stuff on the white isle, especially at the mtv party in 2000 when underworld played. Was proper wrecked
If anyone is going back there soon, pick me up a bottle pleaseComment

Re: absinthe
it's funny how it's more of a white color but these companies put dye into the drink to make it look green. Gotta have that whole Green Fairly thing going on to make it seem cooler than it is.Comment

Re: absinthe
Just bought some of the Lucid. This stuff has a very strong distinct taste, and turns milky white. A bit of an oily texture to it. Gets you fucked up though!
I just woke up from what was suppose to be a quick nap.....3 hours later....One glass of this shit knocked me out.....LOLLast edited by lilsensa; November 8, 2008, 07:08:03 PM.Comment

Re: absinthe
I drank about 3/4 of a bottle many years ago. That was a pretty insane night, which I can recall everything. At least I did not cut my ear off like Van Gogh. Plus it was the real shit from the Czech Republic heheComment

All you would want to know about absinthe in the US here: http://www.wormwoodsociety.org/index...tpage&Itemid=1
Had some yesterday at a wine tasting party. It's definitely dangerous at 120+ proof it tastes like it has the alcohol content of a white whine. I have no hangover to speak of, but then again I only had 3 shots worth. I did have some pretty interesting dreams though last night actually
Evidently Absinthe is one of the only 100% organic alcohols out there, and the hangover is supposed to be minimal...then again that could all be marketing bs, because again this was a wine tasting party, so the vendors were there talking about their product.
Overall I would definitely recommend it. I frankly forget the name of the absinthe I had, but it tasted far better than alcohol's with 1/2 the alcohol content. There was a bit of a licorice taste, but it wasn't strong, and NOTHING like jager's over-powering aroma and taste.
It was fun while it lasted...Comment

Re: absinthe
I am not sure thats how it works...most wines would be organic and I still get fucked up hang overs from them on occasionThe Idiots ARE Winning.

Re: absinthe
^Yeah I don't mean to suggest that is the truth, this was coming from the vendors mouth, so of course they are going to tell you that.
I went back a second time and she gave me the rest of the bottle, which I proceeded to sip (like wine) vs shoot, as I had originally. Again, I woke up without a hangover.

If you don't mix different shit durring the night and its good alcohol i.e. pure and without chemicals you shouldn't get hung over...The Idiots ARE Winning.
