We took the Essential Mix tape recorders to the Fillmore Theatre in New York, a legendary rock venue in Manhattan, to record sets at an event called 'Insiders'.

Listen here to live sets from James Lavelle and an end of night performance from Pete Tong

** We were hoping to bring you a live set from Luciano, but unfortunately his equipment suffered a power failure and his set was cut short. We will aim to bring a new Luciano Essential Mix set in the very near future.**

Just listened to the Lavelle mix. I didn't think much of it at all to be honest. The crowd noise didn't help much either.

When, oh when, are DJs (particularly Tong) going to stop playing that God awful "Roar" track?? It's just Crazy Frog without the novelty value. If I wanted to listen to the sound of a motorbike revving with a beat behind I'd go and sit outside a nightclub, not dance inside to it!!

Current views of this seem bad, so I will be leaving these mixes alone...
The music sounds better with you. Love might bring us both together
