Sasha at the Guvernment

I'm surprised to be starting this thread, I figured others would have chimed in before me.

Anyway, Three was on from 11-2. Nice set of house, techno and prog. I enjoyed it and he certainly got the crowd going.

Around 1:30, somebody came out and set up Sasha's mac. Then he was on 2. First track was Rone - Flesh from Invol2ver. After that I didn't know many, except for Stimming - Una Pena (Argy mix) which I was very happy to hear, it's a current favourite of mine. He played a lot of peak time tracks, certainly not many subtle ones. Techno and prog, mostly.

I didn't stay too late. I was alone (friend bailed on me at the last minute) and had to drive myself home. As long as I was there, it seemed like a fun night for everyone there. Sort of crowded, I thought. Kool Haus has a bit more room.

That was f*n amazing. Met up with friends for predrinks. Walked in the door around midnight and enjoyed Three's warmup set. Sasha came on at 2 and continued to play an amazing set until 6:50 am which was a treat 'cause I expected him to be done around 5. He played a few tracks from Invol2ver and a classic track that I can't remember the name of but had me going crazy. His last encore track was m83 Couleurs which blew the roof off the place. Great great night!!
Oh yeah..met these two guys who said they just got to the Guv from seeing tiesto. I almost puked. I must have had the strangest wtf you'd do that for look on my face 'cause they were like what? what's wrong? I said what's wrong with you? Dickface over Sasha..come on!

i went to the Burridge show instead. reviews i heard were good, but nothing insane.

I sure did. I haven't written a review yet, I waiting on some pics from my friend.
It was a fantastic set...but I'll put the review in the proper thread soon.

damn that woulda been a great closing track! was this his makeup gig for missing playing with digweed on the tour?

It was an awesome night and the tour was for Invol2ver. I do think he played a longer set on this night to sort of make up for missing that night with Diggers. It worked for me!

LOL .. if Sasha was to do that based on the missed gigs during his career he'd have a massive world tour on his hands

I got actually got 3 x guest list passes from Tara @ excession after being let down a few times by him !
