John,
I just wanted to let you know that the Mercuryserver.com forum, a site dedicated to the sites and sounds of the dance music scene, and also the site where your weekly Transitions mixes are aired, has suffered a great loss over the weekend. Steve James, better known as "Jibgolly" to most, took his life over the weekend. Steve was the one who handed you that little Mercuryserver sticker at WMC as you played on the Space Terrace a couple of years ago. Steve helped put together MCAST, which was a streaming audio showcase of talent from around the globe that had also joined hands with Proton Radio. He was also the host of his own show Mercury Rising which was featured on MCAST.
The forum is taking this really hard, and I just wanted to let you know the impact that you, yourself, has had on his life. If you ever get a chance to read his personal biography on the MCAST site, he mentions how you are the reason that he loved dance music so much.

I'm sure you get a lot of emails requesting this or that, but the purpose of this email is just to let you know that Mercuryserver.com is grieving right now and as a personal friend of Steve, I wanted to let you know how much you meant to him.
Thank you for taking the time to read this,
Dave
