Out Now- 'Devil May Care' support: Cattaneo, Eelke Kleijn

Hello again friends, fans and all who like good beats,

Walsh & Coutre, Luke Porter and Francesco Pico all join the Nightshade roster, along with talented Melbourne, AUS newcomer, Craig McWhinney - coming together for an extremely well received new release on Nightshade Music.

Craig McWhinney - 'Devil May Care' (Walsh & Coutre, Luke Porter, Francesco Pico mixes)
official release date: November 11th, 2008 - PURCHASE AT BEATPORT (Click Here)

support: Hernan Cattaneo, Eelke Kleijn, Flash Brother, Dumb Dan, Christian Cambas (see feedback below)

    audio samples:

The original mix starts with a big deep kick, and washy chords that tease, until the bass drops amidst a funky tight percussion groove. The track builds and swells, rising to a massive crescendo, with a huge string line and bangin' beats. This immediately reminded us of some of our favorite deep, melodic house producers over the years, Terry Lee Brown Jr. and Timewriter. Walsh & Coutre took influence from the feel of the original for their astounding remix, starting with a bright, deep feel, then quickly taking it dark and techy, with a minor feel. The melodic elements and beats switch brilliantly, with big breaks, and a techno style finish - this mix could be a new genre in itself. Luke Porter made a more chunky progressive remix, with a great drive and his usual top notch production, bigger, with a summer club vibe, an excellent complement to the original. Francesco Pico rounds out the release with a funky, bigger house mix, closer to the upbeat feel of the original, but with techier, more dancefloor friendly beats.

original & pico mix are very good, thanks!
    - Hernan Cattaneo

love that main synth riff. original is my fav. would be hard to fit into my typical dj sets, but this will get tons of support from me during any extended sets or radioshows. love it.

"I think the Luke Porter mix really made this release worth getting. I think the tracks were solid, but had it not been for the Luke Porter track, I would have probably passed on this release. Sonically the release is good, but it just doesn't fit the main room sound I like. The Francesco Pico mix would be my second choice here. Its full of emotional elements that make a Progressive/Deep House mix work This release would be good for some chill or early morning sets." - 3.5 / 5

"Love the floaty chords and feel to the Original Mix. It takes a while to lift off the ground, but once it does, it's pretty good. A nice package overall. Walsh & Coutre do something really unexpected with the remix, which is what I like most about their productions. Luke Porter is definitely a producer on the rise. Francesco Pico is my favorite version, adding some much-needed funk to the floaty melodies, works very well." - 3.5 / 5
