O'Reilly Factor tonight

Anyone see it? Try and catch a rerun if you can. I'm interested in people's reactions to two of the segments.

In the first, he tries, along with the help of Laura Ingrahm, to manufatcure an election fraud scandal in Minnesota's recount. He ended by concluding "the fix is in". Pretty much a fail, I think he almost laughed at himself a couple times.

The second segment disgusted me much more. It featured a discussion with a Humanist, over their $40,000 ad campaign which posted the phrase "Why believe in a god? Just be good for goodness sake" on Washington, D.C. city busses. O'Reilly repeatedly accused the guy of only including the "Why believe in god?" part to, as he put it, "give some jazz" to religious people. I felt bad for the guy, O'Reilly had the most condescending and smug tone in his voice. Even so, the Humanist managed to get in a few good points, despite being talked down on so bad. TBH, I would probably choke someone out just for talking to me in that tone of voice in front of other people. O'Reilly needs to be choked out.

i havent seen the show, but i understand the point. why would they need to put the "why believe in God?" bit in there? they could have put the goodness part, but obviously it was meant as a hit towards religious people.

How would anyone realize it was a Humanist advertisement if they didn't include that part?

It seems to me that religious people are often overly sensitive. By that logic you used, I, as a non-believer, could be equally offended every time I drive by a billboard that asks if I've found Jesus or whatever.

Don't get me wrong, there's almost nothing I love more than seeing some uptight Christian get all "jazzed up" at perceived shots taken at them. But if I was honestly trying to forward my own cause, I would lay off to make a better point.

I hear that... but on the other hand it's good to understand how these mechanisms operate.
