I was born under unusual circumstances. And so begins The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, adapted from the 1920s story by F. Scott Fitzgerald about a man who is born in his eighties and ages backwards: a man, like any of us, who is unable to stop time. We follow his story, set in New Orleans from the end of World War I in 1918, into the 21st century, following his journey that is as unusual as any mans life can be. Directed by David Fincher and starring Brad Pitt and Cate Blanchett with Taraji P. Henson, Tilda Swinton, Jason Flemyng, Elias Koteas and Julia Ormond, Benjamin Button, is a grand tale of a not-so-ordinary man and the people and places he discovers along the way, the loves he finds, the joys of life and the sadness of death, and what lasts beyond time.

this is a bit of a strange film but is worth perservering great performances from Pitt and Blanchett

I was forced to watch this with family on Christmas. It wasn't bad, but not great. The type of movie you'd watch if you were already watching ABC Family and couldn't find the remote

Watched it, thought the concept was pretty cool but I thought too much time was spent on his childhood.

Thought the movie was pretty good overall though.

It was a good movie and I do recommend it to most people. I'm glad I'm not the only one that thought it went a little longer than it should have.

Just finished it, saw the screener at home so 3hrs wasn't an issue, which was probably good cos that meant I could get comfortable and enjoy it. Very well shot, very languid pace and good performances. I was thinking to myself towards the end, this is such an improbable story but they shot it so well and you get sucked into it, couldn't help feeling kinda sad and sorry when he grew old into a baby.
