For what's supposed to be a "progressive community" there's an awful lot of animosity and bitterness here. It's particularly sad when so much of it comes from someone with an "Administrator" tag on their name.

One would think that those who consider themselves progressives would be very open to the free exhange of ideas, and rational discussion, with respect to everyone's point of views.

Don't get progressive music mixed with progressive politics son. Thats like hispanics confusing Democracy with Democrat... you wonder where those extra votes came from

Can't you just accept that people have a difference of opinion than you rather than calling everybody who doesn't agree with you ignorant? Oh wait, I think your exact words (for anybody who voted for Bush or not at all) were "NIHILIST, A CHRISTIAN PEDANT, OR JUST PLAIN DUMB/BRAINWASHED". That just accomplishes nothing.

I certainly don't agree with the people who voted for Bush (or Kerry for that matter), but I certainly don't consider all of them to be ignorant. Many on both sides obviously have no idea who they are voting for beyond The Party (tm). But there are also a lot of people who know the issues, have thought them through, and have made informed decisions based on what is important to them. This includes many of the people on this board who have debated this election thing for the past months - most of whom you have baselessly insulted in this pointless thread.

I didn't vote for Kerry either - I went with an independent candidate (Nader). What does that make me? Nishilist? A hippie pendant? Ignorant? Dumb or Brainwashed??

Learn to accept a difference of opinion rather than being a dismissive more-holy-than-thou twat (I love that word ). Do you want to make the world a better place or sit around and bitch because you don't like how it is currently going? Or is the country soooo fucked up that there is nothing more that can be done? Who is the nihilist now....

cash flows and making the assets you have appreciate in importance over
time. Not about building a big pile of money to sit on. Everyone who has
ever stepped into economics 101 knows that hoarding natural
resources is self-defeating. Some of the world's greatest philosophers and
social scientists were actually economists. They also have been seeking ways
for people to live in peace and prosperity. The only thing holding capitalism back today is
the uneducated dimwits who enter the American workforce with absolutely no
capitalistic training what-so-ever. And the hilarious thing is most of those people
go around calling everyone else uneducated or uncultured.
