Steven “Stevon” Matthew James, 30 of Port Charlotte, Florida passed away on November 8, 2008 in Pensacola, Florida. He was born on May 28, 1978 in Port Charlotte. Stevon attended Charlotte High School in Punta Gorda and Leto High School in Tampa as well as the Full Sail University, School of Music in Orlando.
Steve was a DJ, who was very passionate about his music and all it represented in life. In keeping with his ideology there will be a 24 hour music remembrance of his mixes to be played on Saturday.
Stevon is survived by his loving family including his mother, Fire (Rick Young) James of Port Charlotte; father, Richard James of Tampa; grandmother, Joan Quinn; and an extended family of over 100 loving members.
There will be a Celebration of Stevon’s life starting at 2:00 pm on Saturday, November 22, 2008 at Fire’s home located on Edgewater Drive in Port Charlotte, with a dedication at 4:00pm.
