www.pokisoft.com is a great one that I use. Now I paid for my copy, but for a long time I just kept using it. And it works great. Very easy to use.

I forget which one I use.. as most you can pick which bit to encode it to, 192, 256, 320 etc..

The one I use I think is called Lame or Razor or Razor Lame...

..so you made a mix woE??

...its RazorLame 1.1.5 the one I have...its from 2001

I used switch on my Mac and recently took it off. I was trying to use it for converting tracks for a "Live" DJ Mix set. But it kept screwing them up. Now I just use my Pokisoft program on my Wimmow and then move it from one machine to the other.

the best piece of kit controller wise in my set up is a novation x-station - not sure if they're big in the states but their gear is very good. the x-station will control all your software and you can teach it your own templates too. on top of that it is a synth in it's own right with it's own pad/ribbon controller that produces endless variations (distracting if you're stoned)\.\\ it's also an interface to record into your pc/laptop set up .. have a look

Razor Lame with the latest version of the Lame codec. Not pretty, but gets the job done, and done well.

I use Switch as well....It fucks up sometimes though.
