yeah i like games wnat to play crisis the way is mean to be and some other games that i want to give it a try, also starcraft 2 is coming, but i think it doesnt need that much power...anyway...also i do design work and use photoshop illustrator dreamweaver and im getting using flash but i dont need that much power for it, im just getting it because i dont have a computer at home and i want some power for not to update in a couple of years!

You'd definitely want something bigger than 19" for all that.

my comp finally arrived, a couple of days ago, its sweet the monitor is pretty cool to be honest but later on i will buy a 32" tv so i can connect it to my computer hehehehe....
besides that its pretty good...
it have windows xp and starts pretty damn fast just one line to load and my friend told me that he can sell me his windows vista home edition but for a couple of bucks of course, but rite now im good with xp....

couple of question ive seen on youtube that you can overclock the cpu but im not pretty sure how to do it, my friend told me that its cool to do it.... but it does have some consequence i think?
like getting the temperature more hotter
if not how do i do it?
if someone know please tell me....

also does updating the bios do i get more efficient computer or something? or what diff it makes ?

what is your mobo brand? Most mobo manufacturers will give you windows based applications to upgrade your BIOS. Also if this isn't an INTEL Mobo, then you should be able to overclock it by going into the BIOS. Just dont get excited and overclock it by 50%, you'll fry everything including your tongue

Just start by 1% and slowly increase it with each reboot if you have not noticed any stuttering, windows crashes or BSODs. Once you start seeing those, you know you've overdone the overclocking.

if you get deeper into overclocking, just dont only bump up the CPU clock speed, overclock the ram by adjusting the timers (based on the RAM brand you have) and gradually start bumping up the voltages too. But make sure your computer is well cooled else you will see crashes from very early in your overclocking endeavors.

Just a reminder that overclocking WILL kill the life of your CPU. If the silicon continues to operate at higher than normal temperatures on a regular basis, there is a point after which it will just not perform the same number of calculations as compared to when it was new.

I have a 3.2ghz Northwood architecture CPU that is sitting in a box because after constantly overclocking it, it has a miserable vista performance score of 1.8 but a cousin of mine who has the same cpu has a vista performance score of nearly 3.0

my mobo is a GA-EP35-DS3 gigabyte
my ram is kingston 800mhz and i have 4gb of ram...
the PSU its a cooler master 450w if i remember well.....


i just want it to overclock it a bit, so i can get more POWA and im just curious hehehe
its my new toy so i want to know everything

^^ i've got the same Mobo's at work...from my experience i've never faced any issues except that the internal sound card (realtek) is dodgy....id reccomend you get a cheap creative on it too...just in case....enjoy

Yes, Kamal. I've got an Opteron 165 in this system that I built back in February '06. It's ancient but I don't game so it suits my needs still. I OC'd it to around 2.8GHz but since I'm not doing a lot with it, I down tuned it to around 2.71GHz. I think I did this within two weeks of putting it together. When I OC'd it, I checked and found out this thing could bust past 3GHz if I watercooled it but I don't have the time to deal with trial and error of that equipment. It wasn't hard at all to OC this cpu as you may know the history of why so many people wanted it for the price point. I have pics but need to set up an online account somewhere. I'll repost a link as soon as I do that. As for the Fry's comment, I just shop there because of the prices. You have a serious misconception of the things you've read. LOL

EDIT: I forgot I had an account with photobucket and the pics were already there. LMAO. Here you go, big guy. You'll also notice that I was able to OC my HTT by over 50%, as well.
