I would love to go to this. I have 2 prints/posters of his work along with some of Dalhi's stuff.

My. God. James absolutely obliterated the island tonight. The last time there was so much destruction, Obi Wan Kenobi had to take a seat on the Falcon after the Death Star said "hi and bye" to Leia's homeworld.
I got pics and video. But I will upload them in the morning. I need to smoke this nice phat joint and just close my eyes and replay the amazingness in my head.Comment

wow. yesterday i took the day off and spent it with the gal in NYC.
we went to the modern museum of art for the two new exhibits they have.
firstly, we hit the Van Gogh exhibit. they have nearly all of his works on display, from early journals, to letters to his brother and lover, with all the paintings and drawing around today.
very interesting. they started with his early works with simple techniques and progressed through his life ending in his lunacy at the asylum focused around starry night.
my personal favorite is not the infamous staryy night, but starry night over the rhone. i got lost in this one for about 15 minutes.
the other exhibit in an interactive movie exhibit about relaxation.
basically they set up the large atrium with a giant purple doughnut couch and a ton of pillows. they play this sublime ambient music while playing a looped 15 minute film on the 4 story walls surrounding the atrium. very trippy, but wow. worth it.
if anyone is in or around NYC over the next few weeks, i really suggest you see these, notably the van gogh, as the collection of works will rarely come together again.Comment
