    Honda FCX Clarity

    I was watching an episode of Top Gear just now and they were doing a showcase on this car, and all i can say is WOW!

    hopefully the car industy would follow hondas steps and start producing this type of cars, i mean, an electric car, that has its own hydrogen based generator, that gives out 0 emition, shit, the only emition that it gives is watter.

    Brilliant, i say fucking brilliant!! i cant wait for the cars to be mass produced, i will surely get one, right now their only available in California.

    heres the top gear episode::

    Yeah a very good step forward in that field of cars. Doesnt it contain over 5000 laptop batteries or something along them lines?

      The Tesla has got the laptop batteries.

      I saw this from last weeks TG. What an awesome show that was. I'd say my absolute favorite episode of them all.

      And that Honda is pretty sweet. I understand why they don't want them out of CA, because most states still don't have hydrogen filling stations.

        Honda aren't going to be mass producing these cars any time in the future. This car will be the same as the Honda EV Plus that was featured in the film "Who Killed The Electric Car". I have the missfortune of working for Honda.

          yes, but all other attempts of electric cars have been dissapointing due to the battery recharge issue, like the Tesla, that, yes its a really nice car and all, but it takes 16 freaking hours to charge.

          this car on the other hand doesnt have batteries on it, it runs on Hydrogen and it gives you something like 270 miles per tank, wich is just ridiculous.

          I would say if the car is already being sold in california and the rest of the big cities continue opening up more and more Hydrogen fill stations, then in the near future we could see more and more of these cars being made.

            The problem is nothing to do with the battery's. The problem is selling a car with no disposable parts on it. Its not going to happen. They are not selling these cars they are leasing them just like the EV Plus. You have been fed a load of bullshit. Like I said before I work for Honda.

              i get the selling of the car part, what you obviously dont understand is the impact that this type of car has on the auto industry, maybe, just maybe, other automakers will follow the same line and make it better.

              i really dont get the "you been fed a load of bullshit", the car is out there, yes i know its not for sale, but my main interest is how this car can set a new standard for the generations to come, just like the guy on Top Gear said, "we built our lifes around the car, as we know it", so on the point of breaking ground on a comercially viable vehicle, i dont see the bullshit thats being fed.

                I understand exactly the impact this will have on the car industry. This technology isn't new and Honda isn't the only company to create a car like this. A similar car made by Ford was featured on Tomorrows World 25 years ago . and still hasn't been mass produced. You won't see this car go into mass production in the next 20 years. Honda are currently updating their plants and none of them are being updated for a hydrogen car.

                  for the hydrogen cars to be mass produced, we need more fuel stations to begin to put hydrogen pumps in their places. If not, there is no reason to get a hydrogen car. Unless you wanna spend about 10 grand and put one at your own house.
