Another one for Xone92 ....so why do clubs choose the pioneer over the A&H ?

hyde park cafe in tampa had to switch out ther Xone when Garnier played because he prefered the djm 800

Every rider for every dj i've booked over the past several years called for the Xone 92 or Xone 62. I'm certainly not seeing the "clubs choose pioneer over xone" thing when i travel either.

That's one of the things I look for in a mixer. It's funny that the DJM400 has the full kills on the EQ. But the higher priced versions don't have.

Speaking of EQ. I really dig how the 92 has a 4 band EQ, and one specifically for sub sounds.

I wonder why on earth they didn't add this function on the higher priced ones

If i were to buy between the djm700 and the Xone92 id definetely go with the second one.

another vote for the xone 92. it craps all over the 800, and i own the former and have played on the later more times than i'd like.

The filters are fucking great. Huge waste not to utilize them. Just a small amt of res and they are clean.

I hate EQ kills. They always sound like shit and are obvious in a mix. There really is no reason to completely kill any band of EQ imo. It completely alters the sonic image of the track. (which may be what you're going for but just isnt my style)

I find plenty of mixing options with the 800. You can use the filter in conjuction with the EQ's for the desired effect AND have an echo or delay running.....

I have experience with several A&H's and the 800. I prefer the 800. Its layout is much more user friiendly and I utilize most of the effects. jmo.......

Well when mixing a few tracks together. You might wanna do an on the spot remix to have the kick and bass from one track and the highs and mids from another track. That's one reason for full bass reducers. I have heard a few mixes, mine too, that when you do an EQ reduction of the low end it always sounds weird. But I still do it anyway, as it helps grab attention.

the sound quality on the 800 is arse. get yourself a pioneer efx 1000 and the xone 92, you can do everything the 800 does, and it sounds 1000x better.

they are a bit expensive. but sometimes you can find a gently used one on ebay. And most of the people that have these treat them way better than i've seen people do with the pioneer 600's.
