All I have to say is:
I'm sure Sickboy will agree that the guys put on an absolutely awesome performance last night at HOB in Orlando. The only complaints of the evening were the fact that the guys only played for 2 hours (only in Orlando!) and the recurring question as to why Jimmy Joslin continues to open for such world class talent. This is not only my complaint but that of many people I talked to last night.
Sharam opened up and started with some deep, dark funkiness. Toward the middle of the set things got a little housey with some vocal-laden tracks being tossed in, but he quickly moved back to darkness for the final part of his set.
Ali came on and whatever track he opened with about made me shit my pants. I'm not at all good with spotting so don't ask what tracks he laid down because the only one I know was Punkrox - Sweet Child; which as you can guess tore the roof off the place. His entire set was the darkest, nastiest, most twisted blend of progressive tracks I've heard in quite some time.
I've never really been a big fan of the guys' productions but their mixes have always sounded spot on and last night was absolutely no exception. The only thing I kept thinking the whole night was, "I cannot wait for WMC". Hope to see you all there.
