Re: Do you own a Gun?? US citizens
I saw on TV the other day, a Texan family that went into a store to buy an AK47. Comeon really, an AK?
I understand that criminals still get their hands on guns. But, there will certainly be a reduction. Some junkie that is robbing your home probably wouldn't have one if those laws were in (providing it is administered properly). Those are the guys you need to be worried about, not Danny Ocean.Comment

Totally disagree with that theory. Other countries have bans on guns and you don't see households getting shot up. If your statement were true the US would not have the appalling gun violence rate as they do. Permitting guns has made things worse, not better.

Sucks you don't know what safety is bro
Australia is a free country. I can walk down the street and not EVER be worried my head is going to get blown off. I can walk the streets late at night and not worry I'm going to die.Comment

Re: Do you own a Gun?? US citizens
you'll get beaten or stabbed to death bro
if you had a gun you could defend yourself though...
in 2006-07 six times as many people in NSW died from injuries inflicted by hand and feet, than by guns. And knives have long since overtaken guns as the main murder weapon Australia-wide, the data showed.
whats next, are they going to take away your knives too?

lol at "australia is a free country" what is america then andyniko?
shit, i'll go down in a blazing glory to defend my right to bear arms any day. it is the most vital right we have in this cruel and violent world; it would be foolish to roll over with fainthearted inaction due to sheltered indifference, when the time calls. imo, life is a battlefield -- be prepared and stay on point -- or get spit out.
my pops is a vet and our family is against all violence -- no doubt... but even we keep a small amount of firepower for last resort protection, and the right to defend our individual freedoms. guerrilla warfare ftw.(((( }-d|-__-|b-{ ))))Comment

By the way, how often have you had to use your gun? My guess 0. So, in reality they're not so useful. Only to the twisted fucks and crims out there who use it proactively.Comment

Re: Do you own a Gun?? US citizens
Of course it is. It's all relative. Statistics are obviously going to favour another weapon when the other is removed (or heavily reduced) from the equation. Something has to be on top. I'd much rather it be stabbings than shootings.
Stupid article. Sydney people... pffftComment

I never said America wasn't. Shosh said I don't know (or can't enjoy) freedom. Please read the thread before you comment.
When someone can turn up to a store and buy an AK47 off the shelf, something is seriously wrong. People in Europe survive without guns, so why can't you? Europe also don't have school shootings and their gun violence in general is far lower. Coincidence? Sure, they're still be violence. It's certainly not the solution, but it is a step in the right direction.

And that point is... if you suddenly remove the ban on guns in Europe, are you going to tell me crime won't increase? Gun crime won't increase? It WILL have some effect, and that effect won't be a decline. It's common sense.
It's very frustrating because then I have to reply to something for no reason. That's allComment

^ so do you wan't a cookie or a medal?
ban or no ban, people always find a way, regardless.
and europe ain't the tumultuous salad/melting pot that america is, so that's like comparing apples and oranges in most respects.(((( }-d|-__-|b-{ ))))Comment
