i thought the first cd was quite shite, those 40oz remixes are ok, but its not a cd i'd listen to again.
now the second cd is pretty fuckin good in my opinion, thats where chris fortiers at. Don't know if i'd describe cd2 as tech house though, more like proper pumping music, whereas most cd's these days seem to about the build-up, only a few represent proper club flow, chris salt's fear of a silver planet being another good example.
an ENORMOUS let down. i'm all for doing something new...but the first cd straight up BLOWS, and the first half of the second disc sounds like one long, boring track.

To resurrect this topic, I've listened to cds 1&2 over the past week, and its a major let down for me.The mixing and programming are all top notch but the tunes are very poor, or should i say not my cup of tea.I cant remember which track it is, I think its track 4 or 5 on cd1, but its absolutely horrible, just a load of noise, I could seriously do better myself.
Cd2 starts out well and has a decent groove but goes nowhere - the bent track is pretty cool though.
CD3, not expecting much from it to be honest after 1&2.Its a shame really cos bedrock 3 was brillaint, as have been some of chris sets floating on the net.
at least he tried something different though, just not my bag

This reminds me how different tastes can be. CD2 is a timeless masterpiece in my opinion and the best part from the entire album. The 2nd CD is so trippy with slight Acid influences and the songs fit to each other perfectly and just make me wanna shake my ass and go with the Flow. The new Balance compilation is completely different to the Bedrock III album but after listening to sets he did in 2005, I knew he changed his record box a lot so it didn't came that surprising and I like what he plays now.
both cd1 and cd2 are awesome. i like every track and the mixing is superb. this is so much better than the chessy shit i've heard in his live mixes. AMAZING RELEASE!!!
everyone is entitled to their own opinion, in mine all three discs rock out, but that again, is just my opinion

HOLY SHIT THIS IS AWESOME STUFF. One of the best mixes I've ever bought. A true labor lof love. Chris gets full RESPECT for going out on a limb and doing this one.
Listening to disc 1 again at work, and it sounds slightly better than the other times I have listened to it.There are still only a handful of tunes I really like and would play out.
I believe this compilation is a future classic. In time people will understand it and love it, and it will be put almost on the same level as the Northern Exposure CD?s.
Some amazing tracks, great flow and mixing...astonishing stuff, and the fact that it?s something a bit different from the usual prog fodder also helps to create a very distinctive and timeless mix, IMO.
