I will be visiting my bro in LA, and booked a room in Vegas for NYE. Seeing that Diggz was on in LA initially made me reconsider the Vegas thing, but the thought of having to deal with the Oakie crowd killed it for me (hate crowded shitbahns, unless it's Space Ibiza or of similar ilk) So, Vegas it is (I'm not sure yet what's happenin' there house wise, but N Years Eve in Vegas is a can't-miss, methinks

IMO, Digger is at his best when he spins in a smaller venue, like Cielo in NYC not long ago.

I think Diggers is only getting 6 hours on his own stage, but does anyone know what Avalon is doing? Apparently they are selling VIP tickets for NYE right now but are waiting to say who's playing...?

Pardon my ignorance, but this is who is playing and I haven't the foggiest clue who the hell they are nor how they commanded an NYE performance.

EDIT: Ok here's an addendum. Not content with being unknowning of who VNV Nation is, I did some digging on SLSK and found this group to be one of the shittiest bunch of turds in the realm of electonic music. It's a very strange blend of BAD trance (oxymoron perhaps?) and a little something I like to call "Rock Talking". If you're unaware it's the phenomenon in which rock stars choose loud talking as opposed to actual melodic singing. Very bad combo IMO. I am guessing no one (including me) from this board will celebrate NYE @ Avalon Hollywood. Blech!

VNV Nation certainly used to be an industrial act... not listened to them for ages so not sure what they're like now, but it does seem a surprising choice for Avalon :?

Agreed Agreed w/ the house parties!! Guess I can't help but feel that way when I'm Spoiled with nothing but spinnin records & heads ;-) Last year needles hit the records at 9pm & went Loud & Consistant til around 10 AM the next morning!!

No Cover Charge & Bangin Prog. House & Deep Music making our TrIp Out of this World!! w/ UNOME, Thrualoooop, EMC, the list goes on...

oh- and . "MEAT" where is Sander K, etc.. for NYE in Montreal?? I went to Aria this Summer twice- GREAT Vibe in Montreal for sure!! I was hosted by some Great friends from Toronto - saw Sander K w/ Brad Copeland- What a SHOW!!!!
