Just logged into [ms] for the first time after nearly 3 weeks sitting on my ass on a blazing hot beach in Goa (fucking great, thanks for asking), and it seems that people have decided to welcome the new year by getting on each other's cases. i haven't been posting or readin on MS for a little while so i don't know the whole situation. maybe he deserved to be banned BUT this is the internet and a public forum. everyone is going to be offended by something or another. if people just ignored him, he'd probably have gone away anyhow.

well put toasty.. I'm not by any means saying he deserved it at all..and ignoring him would have been the better approach.
yes he was very antagonistic, but arguing with him in his threads/posts which were so obviously just there for the exact response he got was exactly what he was looking for.. there is an ignore function on this message board for just that purpose
and if you dont know where it is, click on your user cp (control panel) mid way down the left side it says something like "edit ignore list"
and seriously anyone asking "why?"
just look back at the threads and the majority of his posts for gods sake, lol
there is a fine line between being shocking, beanz, and just trying too hard to get a rise out of people

at the same time, it just causes idly annoying forum crap, and as mods of sections, wastes of time if it means going in and editing/deleting stuff fairly consistently...
personally, I don't know if many realize that ignore feature is there, as for a time it wasn't...
