DJing Problem with CDJ!!

I have a Pioneer 800MK II. I was popping in cd's looking for a good intro track when the cdj decided not to give me back the cd!

The play / pause butons turned off. The vinyl blue light went dim. and it seemed as there was no cd inside.

I could not eject the cd and on the disply screen it read E-9101???? wtf!

So I grabbed the pin that is located under the cdj and used this to try and eject the cd. It took a while but it finally did.

Now when I try to insert any cd it takes it in only 3/4's and stops or slows down. It does not suck in the cd like it used to! When I turn it on, it doesn't make the usual sound the other does. It actually makes no sound now.

Anyone have a clue what the fuck is going on!!! damnit!!!!!!

was there anything stuck on the initial cd that was giving you issues.. anything that may have got caught inside.. or was the cd dirty or something?
may just have some foreign object (it can be really small, im not talking about a piece of gum, lol) stuck in there ya know?

no, the cd was clean. After it came out I put it into the other cdj and it worked fine.

I grabbed other cd's and tried to put it into the defected one just to realize it wont take any. It slows down considerable half way through inserting and just stops.

I'll do a search online for that weird display I mentioned.. we'll see..

damn this really sucks ass!

fuck, that guys cdj is fucked. Mine aint making that noise, just doesn't want to take in the cd properly.

I think I'll try opening it myself.

well my warranty is long gone.

I've opened up both cdj's and I see no difference. the 2nd one just doesn't suck it in quickly and it doesn't spin the cd.

when it takes it in, it stalls and gives me a new error E-8301

oh well, thought I would be able to fix it quickly. Guess I'll be looking for a repairing dealer..

my guess is that the mechanism motor died out or so...

yeah the mechanism isn't moving like the good one. This blows..

I've had my technics for 16 or so years and they both work excellent, I've had the cdj's almost 2 years and this is what happens!! lol fucking shit man!

I guess its back to vinyl in the meantime.

I'll be taking the cdj to an authorized dealer tomorrow as I have the day off.
