i read the audacity of hope, and i promised myself to always revert back and forth between right and left leaning books, so i picked this up, simply because it was written to be sarcastic and was told it was humourous.
it is.
its gold.
its so sarcastic, the only book reagrding the political division i compare to it is matt taibbis book about the bush kerry election.
it is a fact backed SWIPE at the liberal left and told in such a snipers point of view.
if anyone is interested in seeing both sides of american politics and tends to lean left, this book is a must read, and if you hate the left and want ammo to argue, it does the job.
i find myself laughing while readin the first few chapters.
her attacks on how the liberal leadership bitches about wealth, but pay more in tax on thier posesions than they donate in charity is gold, how they oppose the wealth tax because it would hurt them (thier old money::kennedy) but push for the higher income tax (hurting the earners). there is so much in here that shows the two faced nature of both the right and left.
one thing i am noticeing, and maybe i just havent gotten to it yet, is the absense of religion in the book, which is what i am afraid of coming around to. i hate the religious principles of the right.
but i would say people should check it out. funny read, and good to see the unpopular opinion being voiced in a "if walks like a duck, talks like a duck " manner.
