I would gamble and say that alcohol causes more deaths a year than cigarettes...as for second hand smoke...its just another example of the general pussyfication of our society...I wish I was born a couple of hundred years ago...

It's an assumption that secondhand smoke kills because well, firsthand smoke kills.

But the amount of secondhand smoke we inhale in proportion to all the junk and shit in the open air, how much of a difference does secondhand smoke make?

Of course an enclosed area would be different, but even the secondhand smoke inhaled in enclosed area over the span of someone's life, how much does secondhand smoke factor into the detriment of that person's health over his lifespan?

the smoking ban is treating a symptom of the problem not the problem itself...I remember reading some statistics about six months ago that said that the air in an average home is about 30 times more polluted than the open air in major European capitals (as all the chemicals used in the house evaporate into the air over time and are concentrated)... this is due to the fact that the materials used in construction are not air permeable due to costs...
soooo...if we used permeable materials such as Simprolit...which I am conveniently selling.. (only for China though as they are green now)

anyway, people die because people drink drive. so it does have knock on consequences!

But there has to be something else involved, in this case a car. In the other, fists or guns. Cigarettes can kill just on their own and they don't discriminate.

Smoked for about 10 years from time to time, only one year on a regular basis when I was in the army. Had my last around 4 years ago, don't miss it at all.

Many years ago I quit smoking , making a promise to myself that if something i wished for were to happen i would quit until that situation was gone . Well that wish lasted for 6 years and i didn't smoke anything.

Today I made a similar promise and I'm pretty sure it will go through , i'll give updates on my quiting.

He is saying that in one his classes, the teacher told a student that he was not allowed to bring his cell phone to class. Mamot thinks that no one should be able to tell you what to do, not even to your soons.
