Production Favorite Soft Synths & Plug-Ins

    Hello everyone,

I'm looking for some recommendations for soft synths/plug-ins to use in conjunction with my DAW(s) (primarily Ableton & Reason).

I'm getting tired of using the default ones and have started to venture outwards to try and find some new sounds to use in my productions.

Any suggestions compatible with mac, commercial & free, are welcomed!

Now I've used KVR before but never looked any any TAL plugins! Good suggestions, going to check those out!

Anyone have any suggestions for a good tech-house synth stab? Or even how to achieve that sound?

I heartily recommend Puremagnetik.com for quite a lot of free downloads. I'm so in to their stuff that I plan to become a paid subscriber soon to get even more.

Plus Izotope's Ozone plug-in rips for adding some mastering whump (but make sure you turn off Ableton's dithering in the preferences!)

I think there are more than enough soft or hardware synths where u can create a sound like that with, and if you want to know how to achieve that type of sound, best is to show us a bit what u are looking for, do you have a small example on mp3?

Perhaps that gives us a better way to understand what u are looking for.

Ozone is great. But if you learn how to use eq properly. You won't really need a plugin like this on your master.
