OK, here's the Cliff's Notes version -- 22 year old student is auctioning off her virginity, through Nevada's Bunny Ranch. Bidding has skyrocketed, with the current bid at $3.7 million.
This is her:
The irony is she actually has a degree in Women's Studies.
I'm sure there are those that will be critical of her and when I first read the headline I just kinda rolled my eyes, but now that I know that: (1) she's actually an educated woman, and (2) she's going to make a killing on this, it's kinda hard to be too critical of her. It's one thing when some trailer park hoosier agrees to tattoo GoldenPalace.com on her forehead for $10,000, but that is a positively colossal amount of money for something like that. Someone blowing a stranger in an alley for $15 is pretty pathetic, but setting yourself up financially for a one time thing? I want to give her a high five.
I think the first time is pretty underwhelming for a lot of people anyway, especially women, so at least having made a mint off of the occasion will help soften that blow.
Am curious what the women of [ms] think about this.
