    its prolly not the right place for this, but who cares...

    I never ever had any direct contact with steve james.

    i never have in my whole life been to florida.

    i did however, crack up at his avatar with that kid on it, and from then, look out for his posts.

    I just downloaded mcast 011.

    My fuck, what a shame this guy is no longer with us.

    so, i thought that i should say, mate, you are missed by alot of people. some you knew, some you could never, but you, jibby, are forever in my heart for your sense of humour and your incredible musical talent.

    good styles my cuz. keep rockin on...

      Nice comments Pipey - Jib was a very talented guy.

          i've got no problem with someone who's just discovering his talent posting here in gyy instead of the forum dedicated solely to him.
          pipey, download everything you can by jibs, as well as anything dedicated to him! seriously. it's incredible tunez, all of it!!!
          i'll be completely honest with you,
          i only met him in person back at the MS meet up in p-cola.
          i, like you, had read and enjoyed his posts for years. and once i started putting two and two together i remember getting a lot of stuff from him years ago off of soulseek.
          the weekend of the meet up, i had a one on one talk with him about music that hit a special chord with me! later we had another similar conversation solely about our digweed experiences, those two talks had a profound effect on me, never had i hit it off with someone so quickly about what made me feel alive in life.
          there are a lot of others whom he knew longer and much better, but from the depths of my soul i tell you Steve James was QUALITY!
          if you want a quick sum of the man, listen to the marathon set from the meet up as well as the mcast sessions from shortly before and after.
          i'm slowly putting together a memorial set even though i can't mix to save my soul. the man just got under my skin and i've got no problem that he's there!
          Don't let anyone drive you crazy when you know it's in walking distance.
