Good luck, bro, hope it works out for you. I have a good friend that gave up teaching to play poker professionally a few years ago, and it's worked out pretty well for him. His work hours are a little odd -- he often plays late at night, playing tight and taking money from drunken college students online after they get home from the bars -- but he's making more than he ever did as a teacher. The absence of benefits and the lack of verifiable income (for credit purposes) have been a bit of a drag, but not so much that he's wanted to go back to regular employment.
