Re: Beatport is launching new site
Looks surprisingly tacky imo! Will have to give it a few sessions to report on useablilty. Their promo campaign was very slick...guess we'll find out soon if you can really smell and taste music.
Probably not...Comment

Re: Beatport is launching new site
when you click on a track to start playing its fine... but then how do you stop it (if you want) half way through? do you have to delete it? and if you put in the search engine another artist and click "enter" it starts again the track that was playing before, even if it was deleted from your playlist...
wtf??Greeks don't fight like heroes, heroes fight like Greeks

but it DOES start up again when you search for anything. This must be a error on their endComment

Re: Beatport is launching new site
i hate all these beatport revisions... every time they release it, the site gets slower and slower because of all the shit they add. it needs to be simple and easy to navigate. i haven't been to beatport in months because it got a little over the top. i hope they keep that in mind in this release.Should I fuck you at that not until the ass, inject then tremendously hard bumschen and to the termination in the eyes yes?Comment

Re: Beatport is launching new site
There's so much shit on beatport now that it's pretty exhausting wading through it to find the tracks i'd actully buy. I heard they instigated a plicy whereby if a label hadn't sold a certain number of tracks over a certain period of time they were kicked out. Guess there are just so many labels around now that this makes little to no differenceComment

Re: Beatport is launching new site
Yeah, but setting up an online store for each individual label is expensive, especially if they only put out a handful of releases each year like some of the smaller ones do.
We put out 2 or three singles a week on average and our online store genrates nowhere near as much revenue as our Beatport and Traxsource sales, so for the smaller labels the cost in setting up and running their own store would be a waste of moneyComment

Re: Beatport is launching new site
the thing that perplexes me , is like greg said.. beatport has so much crap on there now that it makes it almost impossible to find the good stuff. i don't have time to sort thru the rubbish and now i have to wait an hour for the page to load.Should I fuck you at that not until the ass, inject then tremendously hard bumschen and to the termination in the eyes yes?Comment

Re: Beatport is launching new site
isn't this the 3rd thread we've had on the upgrades that Beatport is doing?
Maybe we should get on DJDownload.com and get them to upgrade their site, as it is a lot easier to fins stuff with BP than with DJD.Comment
