That's exactly it. I don't really watch any of them -- boxing, MMA, whatever -- but I could at least rattle off a few names of UFC fighters. MMA filled a void when boxing became increasingly ridiculous/corrupt/whatever, and boxing needs to do something to avoid becoming absolutely irrelevant. Frankly, I think they are too far gone.

Oh, and BTW, is anyone going to pay to watch that? $34M each is a hell of a lot of money, going to have to sell a lot of tickets/PPV for that to be worthwhile.

i dont agree that boxing is dead at all. the overinflated overhyped boxing days are over for sure- there are still good fighters.

and I love MMA.

it'll be on the torrent sites within two hours of it being done. so I might watch it there, like UFC 91.
