    apparently he's originally from new orleans. i didn't know him but many people over on the disco productions board did. over there some are saying he had a history of threatening to commit suicide. he went missing for a few days after getting in a big fight with his girl friend last week.
    Don't let anyone drive you crazy when you know it's in walking distance.

                Charlie Cooper, half of Chicago electronic duo Telefon Tel Aviv, was found dead today at 31, according to CBS2. According to area detectives interviewed by CBS, Cooper had gone missing last week following an argument with his girlfriend and his body was found today on the Near Northwest Side. CBS reports Cooper had threatened suicide in the past but stops short of listing suicide as the cause of death. An autopsy is scheduled to be performed today. Telefon Tel Aviv had just released Immolate Yourself, its third studio album, on Jan. 20.

                    This is sad news. Just got the new album myself and it sounded great. Wonder what happend?

                            This is terrible, another person taking their own life

                            Sorry to see someone who made such beautiful music hurt so much inside. Hopefully he is in a better place now.

                                This release was mastered direct from vinyl at the request of the DJ and as such features natural sound characteristics of this medium such as record surface noise.

                                        and especially because of the fact that Disco D took his life on the same day two years ago.

                                                This is a bummer. Really love their new alb. It was always nice to check out what they got going on. Very talented and gifted individuals. Always sad to hear this type of news. RIP.

                                                        Sad news indeed.

                                                        New album is full of really beautiful, amazing sounds and has been on heavy rotation for almost 2 weeks. Many soul/spirit lifting tracks and a few haunting tracks that take you away to dark places.

                                                        The whole album is pure class but my favs are, Helen Of Troy, Mosty Translucent and Made A Tree On The World.

                                                        RIP.
