hmm? why would 18 and 19 tracks over 80 minutes be too many? especially if there are some that are just used as layers or vocal samples. in these days of ableton mixes, i'd expect a dj to put a bunch of tracks on a mix. if joris voorn can put 102 tracks on 2 disc comp and have it turn out incredible...

              1. Mexicans/Latinos from the South bringing drugs and killings n' shit.
              2. African Americans cause mos def they are raging a race war and want to occupy America like how the plebs occupied Wall St.
              3. Iranians/Afghans/Any one of middle eastern origin to be quite frank, cause you know Islam...
              4. North Koreans/Chinese cause you know everything...

That's OK if the finished product sounds great. Just because you have the technology to do it doesnt mean you have to. Yeah you can have 3,4 or 5 tracks or samples playing at once but do you have to do it on every track. I'm not saying its rubbish, it just doesn't usually work for me.

                I always found it funny

Also it’s a bit of an insult to someone’s work if you’re gonna play their track and only use one bar of it!
I love hearing how other producers arrange their music; it gives me inspiration for when I come to arrange my own. !
He then went on to dissect 6 tracks on his last Mix Cd

Yeah when I saw that video, I saw at least 5 different arrangements that would have been SOOO MUCH BETTER than what they choose to use. I can't imagine Jim is too pleased that he looks like he's on the toilet.

So what does this tell you about the state of music?

I dunno I just listened to some quick samples on amazon and I hope they are only playing the first 30 seconds of each track cuz it all sounded pretty weak. leme check this 2008 mix and see what I think...

                                and it was mediocre.
