Hey, what about the 21st Amendment, which repealed the 18th (prohibition). That's my favorite Amendment!
As for the substance of the thread, it seems like an awfully silly thing to get worked up about on either side, IMO. I doubt very seriously that it will stop any crime, but if it helps solve a few, I'm all for it, because it seems like a de minimus imposition on 2nd Amendment rights, if at all. Anyone that feels that this is a serious restriction on their right to bear arms -- or on the flip side, who thinks that this is a necessary ingredient in the fight against crime -- is a bit out of touch with reality, IMO.
And to get back to the very first post, how exactly is this Obama's fault? These are state governments proposing these bills, if I'm understanding correctly.
