Phelp's main squeeze?
well lets hope he sticks to this plan.Phelps is one of 12 Olympic athletes who have signed on to "My Victory," an initiative launched last year by the U.S. Anti-Doping Agency aimed at keeping competitive sports clean.(((( }-d|-__-|b-{ ))))Comment

Re: Michael Phelps up in smoke
That's fucking ridiculous, all these idiots jumping on their high horces because some celebrity did it.
FFS, he's 23 man, it's fucking ridiculous that he has to appear ashamed and spew that shit as an apology. I think the very fact that he's had that success in the pool, the constant stress and training he undergoes, and he's 23, wtf, let the man chill for a bit."I'm 23 years old, and despite the successes I have had in the pool, I acted in a youthful and inappropriate way, not in a manner that people have come to expect from me," he said. "For this, I am sorry. I promise my fans and the public -- it will not happen again."
At least he's not raping and pillaging or beating up people because they walked into the pool while he was practising.

Seriously, they gotta give the champion a break, jeebus.
Nevertheless, I still think he could have exercised some Olympian style caution, by keeping the bong shacks and nug festivities... a bit more low key per se, lol. Oh well. Best of wishes his way.
Proper and educated cannabis usage would solve quite a few of the problems in the world today. Sighh..

Re: Michael Phelps up in smoke
Here's the most recent news regarding this:
He's saying that If he can 'prove' that Phelps smoked marijuana he's going to file charges against him. Now Phelps has confessed, but how would they ever be able to prove that he smoked marijuana last November.A COUNTY sheriff from South Caroloina yesterday warned that he will charge Michael Phelps with a crime if an investigation determines the Olympic star smoked marijuana.
This is getting way out of hand!Comment

Re: Michael Phelps up in smoke
Err easily? Take blood samples, hair samples, fat samples? It stays in your system for ages, a lot longer than chemicals.

^ True that.
He is a freak of an athlete though, and he probably has a really high metabolism too. Yeah, herb stores in fat cells, and it's a bitch and a half to get out. Better start swimming and running now Mr. Phelps. I wonder if he smokes on the regular, or just occasionally? That would make a big difference -- test wise.
He could always bleech his hair, to bypass the hair follicle test.

Re: Michael Phelps up in smoke
No, not easily. Even though pot is a scheduled substance in the US, the government cannot just take a blood or hair sample because they suspect that you have smoked it in the past. As much as I disagree with the war on drugs at least some rights of our freedom are still intact, b/c there definitely are other countries where the government can drug test you just for the hell of it.
Additionally:
1. Bongs are not illegal to posses, and the photo certainly doesn't show what it was that he was smoking
2. Phelps never admitted that he actually smoked bud, he only said that he regrets his 'bad judgement'
This is just another example of a hard-ass sheriff who has absolutely nothing better to do than run his mouth to get some media attention and waste his own time opposed to stopping real criminals that cause harm to society.Comment

Re: Michael Phelps up in smoke
Yeah it'll probably pass out of his system quickly assuming he's not a habitual smoker. Think I read somewhere the fella consumes 12000 calories a day. Can't imagine him being stoned habitually, there's no way his sport allows that. But swimming laps is pretty boring, getting stoned would be one way around that!
