basically Vegetarians have 2 big reasons that drive them:
1st The unnecessary suffering and killing of animals in order to satisfy our taste.
    2nd health

So if you do it for the first reason alcohol shouldn't be a problem and if you are in it for the 2nd one a lot of physicians recommend a glass of wine after a fatty food in order to move dissolve some of the cholesterol from your system. Just don't over do it

Btw is that your fridge ? shop at Trader Joes , Whole foods? if so nice tofu selection , don't see any mushrooms though , mushrooms ftw

but anyway, you definitely do feel 'lighter' and in my case, after i stopped eating all things dairy, i never again was plagued with allergies like i always was before. as far as nutrition requirements, everyone's different. i tend to be more of an athlete because i run and bike etc, so i HAVE to supplement some.
Yes there is pretty much many kinds of Vegetarianism : Vegans , frutarians, pescetarian ( what florida orange said ) and what is my case Ovum-lactum Vegetarian.

luckyly in US more restaurants are being vegetarian friendly and offer a wide range of different dishes that we can pick from the menu that doesnt happen in Mexico though for fucks sakes I had to learn how to cook for myself

Congrats on getting rid of your allergies mate there is def. more benefit than harm on this path.

My sister is also vegan and i dont get it. Wild animals have to hunt for their prey, so do we, but instead we buy it or what ever.
Our bodies are made for this stuff, we got all the enzimes and the stuff thats necesary in order to digest the food, we were engineered to eat this kind of meals.

How ever, i understand that everyone has the right to choose and i respect your choice.

              ps. meat is so tasty...
              Dont panic, its organic.

It happened at the beginning to me 2 .

Another thought is that being Vegetarian has also a psychological effect on you , being able to detach from meat which is so addictive pretty much tells you , you can detach from many many....other things in life.

This is how I view meat aswell. I only see it as a hunk of flesh that's been carved out of a dead animal. So disgusting.
It was funny, City tv airs viewers comments on certain topics and last week it was about the SuperBowl not airing the Peta commercial. She said she couldn't understand how they would ban a commercial that shows women in lingerie getting sexy with vegetables but tv could consitently have cooking programs showing the bleeding flesh of dead animals being pounded, chopped up and cooked.
I couldn't believe they aired her comment which I'm sure most people found to be extremely fanatical, but I found to be perfectly sane and true.
Awww...I didn't mean A holes, as in "A holes"...I meant it like, as in, my friends....

I totally respect all you vegans out there, sick work on getting healthy! There is just no way I could ever do it, no vagine could ever convince me lol.

I shoot for a 40% protein 40% carb & 20% fat balance and about 3000 calories a day. That means lots of eggs, chicken, fish, & turkey. I do try to eat some kind of fruit or veggies with every meal though. No junk food and once I start making more money or pay all the debt I have I will start doing the whole free-range & organic thang. Also supplement with fish oil & take a multivitamin every day.

Now I'm off to eat a big bowl of spaghetti with a pound of turkey innit YUM!
