    Coachella Fest 09

Anyone planning on going? Few interesting picks this year. Gui Barratto, M.A.N.D.Y., Supermayer, Groove Armada. Not all too appealling this year though. And I don't see anyone really worth watching amongst the edm world on saturday night. Thievery Corporation might be nice.

    Friday, April 17th

    Saturday, April 18th

    Sunday, April 19th

last year was intense. gunna do my best to try and make it this year. i'll stay posted.

woah, yes, People Under The Stairs. and Thievery Corporation are in this lineup -- that's enough firepower for me.

Public Enemy, lol. Atmosphere, The Killers and The Cure might put on a great show.

is that the same Booker T from the rare groove band... Booker T and the MG's?

    no Sashweed this year

not a big killers fan, lol. I could go with Cure and PE. Never heard of atmosphere actually. I was hoping for someone big on sat night like Danny Howells or Steve Lawler. Hopefully they update it. From what I've read elsewhere, the 'dance' tent lineup is not complete.

        Atmosphere is one dope rapper.

i understand. how long will that take to complete? Guy Boratto and Penut Butter Wolf will be nice, imo.

Silversun Pickups might be interesting as well, if Grayarea is on your radar.

Been to 6 CM&AF's, missed last years due to scheduling conflict, this year I have to go to the bahamas for an awards banquet with my company...

Can't recommend coachella to those who haven't gone yet highly enough, it is f*cking great if done right. Most of it can be streamed live, so if your interested def check it out online live.

It was fun while it lasted...

^The recognizable location is Palm Springs, or Palm Desert, 2 hours southeast of Los Angeles. Technically it is located in "Coachella Valley," (pete tong accent) "on 4 palm tree lined polo fields."

I saw underworld, the chemical bros, prodigy and a ton of other great live performances at this...really great memories Don't go because you have heard of all the musicians, go because you only know 5 - 10 of them and want to discover 10 more you would have otherwise have never heard of.

That was a while back, Darren Emerson, Josh Wink, RITM, lasers across the entire field, kick it in the grass, fun nite, of course the drive home the next morning back to Vegas was an adventure.

Leonard Cohen, Superchuck, The Black Keys, X, Throbbing Gristle, My Bloody Valentine, PE, Paul Weller, Roni Size Reprazent, and Bob Mould, looks to be way more rock oriented than ever before, which is not the greatest thing, but there sure a bunch of artists here, you may never see play elsewhere. Plenty of cool new bands as well, any fan of great music will want to seek this weekend out.

i can't say that line-up does anything too much for me. there is a distinct lack of any big name bands on the sunday. no radiohead, no tool, etc etc.

and the dj lineup is not as good as last year's either.

No worries, this is just the preliminary lineup, keep checking the coachella website for additions. Radiohead wasn't added for a while after the first list dropped.

^I hope so, the atmosphere is absolutely insane at coachella in a great way... if you end up going, you will not regret one second of your trip...super chill vibe and just a great time.

The following pics are from Coachella headlining sasha & digweed, zabiela, junkie xl, deadmau5 and others, they speak for themselves really regarding the atmosphere
