I know he looks unhappy, but we are all unhappy when we are caught doing shit we aren't supposed to.. I'm just saying he looks more like a kid that got in trouble than a kid scared for his lifeComment

You know what actually doesn't look right? it is that he doesn't look palestinian to me . Of course I am only getting that from the stuff I have been watching lately and could be totally wrong.Originally posted by TheVrkit IS incredible isn't it??

Re: Palestinian teenager tied to Israeli police vehicule
This picture and article are years old - they've certainly been doing the rounds for a while - certainly from the text I would hazard a guess and put it somewhere between '03 and '05.
I certainly don't know, nor can tell from the picture and article, whether or not this child was used as a human shield or not - but what is clear is that he is clearly restrained via the his bicep to the screen - although his hands are not tied (and I must admit, this is the first time i have seen an image of some-one detained by the border police who was not handcuffed).
Didi, as for 'not looking' Palestinian? What does a Palestinian look like? Might sound like a sarcastic question, but in reality most Palestinians migrated to 'Palestine' in the later part of 19th Century originating from either Egypt and Syria - in which case this child does 'looks' Palestinian.Comment

Shiva
The first Intifada actually took place in the late eighties - which led directly to the Oslo accords.
By 2004 the second intifada was coming to an end, mainly due to the construction of the security barrier - this picture was taken at a protest to that barrier.Comment
