    Photos from the bushfires

    The first photo is a 737 passenger airliner, shortly after takeoff from Melbourne airport.

    The rest are from several other areas in Victoria.

          really familiar with that grim sight alright, we get wildfires like that yearly, not fun.

                                  Trying to escape and it was so black they couldn't see. There were quite a few smashes and one at least ran into a dam.

                                      Those flames are just vicious, f'n tragedy, the fact someone would intentionally start these fires is disgusting.

                                                          on a better note, that koala is actually part of a great story in the end. it found its mate at the shelter after rescue, they both survived the fires and have since been inseparable.
