Seems like every other week there is something going down now... First Continental crashes before takeoff in Denver...then we had the US Air incident in Newark... and now a small Continental turboprop apparently crashed on landing at Buffalo, NY.
"Son," he said without preamble, "never trust a man who doesn't drink because he's probably a self-righteous sort, a man who thinks he knows right from wrong all the time. Some of them are good men, but in the name of goodness, they cause most of the suffering in the world. They're the judges, the meddlers. And, son, never trust a man who drinks but refuses to get drunk. They're usually afraid of something deep down inside, either that they're a coward or a fool or mean and violent. You can't trust a man who's afraid of himself. But sometimes, son, you can trust a man who occasionally kneels before a toilet. The chances are that he is learning something about humility and his natural human foolishness, about how to survive himself. It's damned hard for a man to take himself too seriously when he's heaving his guts into a dirty toilet bowl."
That is some crazy stuff, was watching a Southwest plane take off over my house this afternoon, it was making some weird sonic sounds as if an engine was having trouble, as the plane passed by, there were visible flames shooting out from one of the engines for a minute I thought something might happen, but I guess the plane engine stopped the flame bursts.

Let me get this straight.
So white-middle class Americans have been told by their Television sets to be fearful of:
1. Mexicans/Latinos from the South bringing drugs and killings n' shit.
2. African Americans cause mos def they are raging a race war and want to occupy America like how the plebs occupied Wall St.
3. Iranians/Afghans/Any one of middle eastern origin to be quite frank, cause you know Islam...
4. North Koreans/Chinese cause you know everything...
Plane crash percentages are suppose to continue to increase. Old planes continue to be used while fewer new planes are made and used for the commercial market.

Exactly. It kinda sucks how the aviation industry is never really lumped together in the "infrastructure" category, because planes and runways are crumbling just like the rest of our infrastructure as a whole.

...wow, i'm stunned again. what a tragedy.
i'll still fly, but we are in some initiatory and turbulent times, yeah? i'm still considering telemetry and loading aircraft in the usaf btw.
is it just human error, or has it really been that rough for the airline sector to organize a steady upkeep on equipment upgrades and protocol since 9/11(?) whatever the cause, i suppose funding is low as hell, and since everyone is hurting in this law of economy, i can only imagine the shit storm that is most likely festering in that realm of transportation.
perhaps there's too many key exponents slave to desire, whom have become careless by dispensing bailout and stimulus rations down the wrong tributaries. fucking misuse and abuse of funds.

WASHINGTON (AP) — President Barack Obama today imposed $500,000 caps on senior ex-ecutive pay for the most distressed financial institutions receiving federal bailout money, say-ing Americans are upset with “executives being rewarded for failure.”
More awful news Just saw this on our news and apparently there were people on the ground killed, so you don't even have to fly

mass transit does become an issue during poor economic times...
did you know that the new york subway system (MTA) is the 5th largest debtor in our nation behind in borrowing only to California, New York State and New York City, and Massachusetts?
terrible!.. I've had about 7 dreams involving commercial airlines falling from the sky and crashing in my neighborhood with big explosions!.. those were about 8 years ago...

Yeah I don't quite understand it either, I get on the dirty ass subway every day. Where the eff is all this money going, you got to figure there are 7 million people at any given time with a metro card. If they use two trips that is 4 dollars that is 28 million a day. Max that out by 365 days (average of two trips a day just in case people take 3 on monday and only 1 on Sunday) and you have 10,220,000,000 dollars a year flowing into the system. 10 billion a fucking year is no joke when it comes to revenue.
The sailors of the United States Navy are among the most disciplined, devoted, and well-trained fighting men the world has ever known. They drink gasoline and piss fire, The spit bullets and shit bombs, and will swim across the ocean with a knife in their teeth just for the chance to carve up those that threaten their homeland.
