I'll take a slight edge with the 80's over the '90's. Both great decades.

80's - I started going to clubs in the late 80's and was exposed to alternative rock and new wave bands like Depeche Mode, The Smiths, The Cult, Sisters of Mercy, New Order, The Cure, Front 242, Nine Inch Nails and Duran Duran.

90's - Great for bands like Nirvana, Alice in Chains, Pearl Jam and other grunge bands. Dance music where I lived went to shit until trance got hot in the mid to late 90's. The GU series got big as well and started seeing guys like Sasha and Digweed play live.

70's for some great classic rock and of course disco & the 80's for hair metal and old skool rap. 90's really never did much for me, except that was my intro to EDM.
