A few years ago I went through a stage of depression and kept buying expensive hifi equipment. Most of it was stolen in a robbery.
DAMN you're the first woman I know who has ever had any interest in anything remotely hifi and done something about it.
I'm kinda sorta in the same place. I work insane hours and so most weekends I just wanna be a couch potato. With the fact that this shit hole of a town has NOTHING to do, clearly my weekends tend to boring (unless sugana and me are travelling). And so we spent a lot on getting shit for the house and electronics. Last year I spent more on electronics than I ever have in my 11 years in the US.
Unfortunately this year I have nothing left to buy and no place to put it in the apartment either

ive spent loads on clothes too! ive got tops that ive only wore once and then i forgot about them, only to see them again when moving house that i had to pack everything!
ive spent shit loads on ebay too, mostly on electronic stuff.. from cameras and minidiscs, to projectors with surround sound and everything!! good thing, with ebay is, if you are patient, you can get them a lot cheaper! this will mean tho, that you'll have some spare money to buy something else!

nowadays i have to be more careful with my cash, but i do like buying.
however, i think in part the shopping addiction is tied into the collecting addiction. now that i work with denim, i have loads of pairs of jeans. weird!
I have/had an ebay addiction... its predominately centered around urban art... banksy, kaws, futura and others.
i think i am finally getting a hold on it though... the urge to splurge buy something has subsided a lot. i think it has to do mainly because i am planning on getting a condo this fall so i have to save like a madman to get a decent down payment.
i dont know of any links to help but it has mainly to do with priorities... at least it was in my case.

my next "desired" purchase is to get a quad core dual cpu box for my media center with 8 gig ram and dual HD tuner cards and 2 TB built in HD space. Of course, I already have a dual core box with 3 gig ram and 2 tb of external space so clearly, the new machine will be as impulsive as it gets. I also want to snag new DVD nav discs for my car cause torrents dont work

I actually recently realized that I don't buy much. I live a pretty simple life; hell, I've never even owned cable or had a car payment yet.
