XP Explorer not loading up properly.

Yesterday I logged onto my system as normal but it took a long time to go off the logon screen to the desktop. Once the desktop wallpaper had loaded it stopped there and wouldn't start up explorer. It hadn't crashed as the mouse was moving around just phone. I ctrl-alt-deleted and attempted to log out and back in again. Told me explorer wasn't responding. So I had to resest via the power button. All loaded up as normal next time round.

This morning I've booted up my system and its happening again except this time it won't even let me bring up the task manager. Just keeps booting up a wallpaper with mouse icon.

I've also tried killing the explorer.exe process and restarting it to no avail.

    Any ideas?

Think I've found my answer. Finally managed to get to the desktop after about 20 times and the event viewer is saying the Truevector Service has hung on startup.... this then appears all the way up.

    Reinstall Zonealarm me thinks.

if reinstalling zone alarm doesnt fix your prob, restore your pc before the problem started to occur and maybe that will work.
