Thankfully I never got to looking like that but do remember having a conversation with a shadow in the backyard of my parents house after partying & clubbing for 4 days. My dad witnessed the whole thing. He must have been soooo proud.

my wife's brother has been a meth addict for about 2 years and i just saw him pick at his ear because he thought there was a camera in it.
well, he picked at his ear for too long, and obviously there was blood/pus coming out of it, but it didn't bother him
after picking at it for so long, i guess he picked out the "tragus" part of the outer ear.

If you want to learn more about this drug, apparently the "Oregonian" won awards for it's 5-part series in 2004. Oregon has one of the highest pop's of meth abuse in the US.
