The DJ, whose real name in Norman Cook, admitted himself to a specialist facility on Monday.
Garry Blackburn, the Praise You star's manager, said: "Norman is voluntarily seeking help for his alcohol problem but he's in good shape."
Norman, 45, is married to Radio 1 DJ Zoe Ball and they have a son together. Garry said that Norman has the full support of his wife and the rest of his family.
In the past Norman has never made a secret of liking a drink. He once said: "Sometimes it feels a little undignified but I never seem to get tired of getting drunk. I've tried going on stage sober and it wasn't much fun. There's a certain bravado involved in what I do.
