Re: Anyone on here using fta satelite?
I have 3 boxes a Pansat 250SM, Neosat iPro2000, and a nFusion Solaris. The one that is most reliable, hands down is the nFusion Solaris. The Neosat and the nFusion are both internet enabled."They who would give up an essential liberty for temporary security, deserve neither liberty or security." -Benjamin Franklin -
Re: Anyone on here using fta satelite?
hmmm...have never heard of the nFusions. I myself have a sonicview 360 with the dvr(pvr) very happy with due to the fact that it hasnt went down for the last 8 hits. dvr works like a champ, i did have to spring for an external hard drive tho. I also have a viewsat ultra in my sons room; he loves it.Comment

Re: Anyone on here using fta satelite?
I originally had the Coolsat Pro 4000, which was cool, then upgraded to the Viewsat Ultra and then onto CNX Trio... the pvr feature is great .. picked up a 500gb external and was set. I've had the Trio for a while now..~ You are what you think you are ~

Re: Anyone on here using fta satelite?
That's a bummer mate. I've never had a problem with the usb port not recognizing.. perhaps there is some tech support for the receiver.
I read some where that these fta receiver are a dying breed... know anything about that??~ You are what you think you are ~

Re: Anyone on here using fta satelite?
havent heard anything of. yeah, i really dont know about the usb port issue. everything works fine but when i go to load codes it looks for the usb and never finds. will have to spend some quality time with as soon as i can find it. i really do hate to get rid of my fta tho, gonna miss the ufc ppv's and new release movies.Comment

Re: Anyone on here using fta satelite?
i actually sold my receivers and dish a couple of weeks ago. sold my house (due to divorce) and moved into an apartment that wouldnt let me hang a dish on the outside. oh, how i miss my free ppv.
my sonicview receiver actually messed up on me a couple of weeks before i sold everything. for whatever reason it got to where it would not recognize the usb ports in the front or back. unsure of what the issue was. i ended up giving it to the guy that bought my dish and viewsat receiver to see if he could do anything with it, haven't heard back from him. have you checked the forums?Comment

Re: Anyone on here using fta satelite?
Naah, I really don't use the boxes. I do it as kind of a cool must have but I always find myself watching broadcast channels anyways. I was curious how that receiver was doing compared to others since I know people are losing channels due to the n3 transition.
The only time I really know if there are issues is when my friend who I hooked up with a system calls me. Since I moved him over to the nFusion receivers I don't get calls."They who would give up an essential liberty for temporary security, deserve neither liberty or security." -Benjamin FranklinComment

Re: Anyone on here using fta satelite?
unsure of how the sonicview team is fairing with the conversion, will have to check and see if the guy to whom i sold my boxes to has gotten the soniview box working. i noticed that i had lost all adult channels about a month ago on both boxes tho, have been told by people that they are losing channel pretty consistently, but can't make any comments regarding considering i'm not using anymore.Comment

Re: Anyone on here using fta satelite?
I must have jinxed myself. I got a call from him yesterday saying he lost some of the porn channels. I still think the internet enabled receivers will be the ones to win out until the cardless fixes are out for n3 but it might be a bit rocky initially.
