"ON THE FLY" is basically just that. I step into the booth and begin to work through the stacks of records. New releases, white labels, classics, and sleepers are all in the mix. Usually a little eclectic to keep things interesting and dynamic in the mix. While still maintaining a sense of groove and function throughout. All mixes are done live with no pre-programming, or post editing. All vinyl records mixed on 2 technics and a pioneer 600 (mixer upgrade in the works). Styles can range from techno, tech-house, dub-techno, minimal, and progressive. Any feedback is welcome and appreciated.

Mix #1 : 03.07.2009
just did another mix this past weekend. A trippy techno/minimal/tech-house venture for the late night mind
no tracklisting, this was a live mix. If there is a track you hear that you want to know about, just ask and I'll dig up the info. Mix is titled 'On The Fly' because it was done with no pre-programming. Just hopped in the mix around 5am and played for about 1.5 hours.

I only find a few good progressive releases anymore these days, not enough new quality progressive coming out anymore - and many of the genre's labels have predominately gone digital due to the lack of quality and low sales. I play vinyl because of sound quality, it helps sort out a lot of the crap, and it's nostalgic.
aside all that, a lot of the techno and tech-house I play has progressive influence (ie. Minilogue, Robert Babicz, Stephan Bodzin, etc.)
I haven't abandoned melody by any means and I think my set structures still represent 'progressive' - and I do still play some 'progressive' music sets, just not as often.

damn all the tags, it's music, and good IMO

i'm really tired of seeing mixes by shitty djs like seth. all they do is flood our brains with crappy tunes and waste valuable minutes of our lives. i, for one, will not be downloading this junk!!
