        hey buddy just found this book online that is supposed to really help with Lupus. It has a guarantee so if it doesn't work you can get your money back. It has 5 steps that you have to follow to rid yourself of the Lupus side effects. Hopefully this will help and it is only $30. Check it out for sure.

        It is really hard to find any data on Lupus. I have been reading on it for a couple hours now and it seems doctors don't have a clue about this disease. This book has a lot of testimonials as well so if it was me I would give it a shot. Good Luck man!

          Re: This scares the shit out of me?

          Wiki has a nice summary of the disease, prognosis, and treatments (or lack there of in this case). The quick and the dirty, is its an auto immune disease that has no cure. But its a disease that can be managed quite well and most people are able to liver relatively normal lives. There are flare ups of the disease from time to time which need to be managed, typically with steroids, but this is not a disease (anymore) where you need make up a bucket list or do anything drastic. The symptoms that can develop are so wide in variety that its impossible to list them all, everyone is effected differently, but generally, it can be controlled.

          When you are ready, there are people out there to help you talk about it and figure out what it all menas.

          It's never too late to become the person you always thought you would be.

            I really appreciate everyone for the wellness and support. Thanks as well for all the links and information. Such a blessing it is to have this form of communication and people inspired to create positive space.

            Now that I had some time to think about Lupus and do some research about it I feel some better. I am remaining positive and optimistic about things and I am grateful for MS but most of all I am grateful for pure vibes from strong people and that helps in so many ways for so many reasons.

            Thank you MS

                  I'm sorry that this has befallen you. I know there is nothing that any of us can do to take this burden from you. The only thing that you can do is accept it and take care of yourself the best you can. It's the story of life...adversities befall us all; how many of us will get all kinds of health complications in the future...accidents happen...loved ones die...eventually we all die. It's life, and we can't stop it. Your mental/emotional approach to life and the adversities it inevitably brings your way is really the only influence you have...and it's actually very powerful. Stay strong.

                    Cannabis May Suppress Immune System

                    Could Lead to New Autoimmune Disorder Treatments, Say Researchers

                    April 15, 2003 -- Cannabis may offer hope to people with autoimmune disorders such as lupus and rheumatoid arthritis. Cannabis seems to decrease inflammation in the body by suppressing certain parts of the immune system. Researchers are hoping this finding will lead to new treatments.

                    Previous studies have hinted at immune system abnormalities among cannabis users -- specifically, in the function of immune system cells called T lymphocytes and natural killer cells. While these cells help the body fight infections, no direct link with lowered immunity has yet been shown. {Moderator's Note: bold applied. Note that this lowered immunity has been found not to be a contraindication in the use of smoked marijuana for treatment of AID wasting disease in HIV+ individuals. See: Dr. Abrams work at San Francisco Medical hematology/oncology}

                    In this study, researchers tested the blood of 29 cannabis smokers -- 13 occasional users and 16 regular users (weekly or daily use). They compared the results with a group of 32 nonsmokers.

                    Again, researchers found that cannabis smokers had fewer immune-enhancing natural killer cells and lymphocytes, and higher levels of a protein that may promote tumor growth, called interleukin-10. {Moderator's Note: however cannabinoids have also been isolated which contain chemicals that cause tumor necrosis -- death of tumor cells-- and cell apostosis which is the removal of dead cell tissue from the body as waste material}

                    These changes can dampen the immune system's response to infection, increasing susceptibility to infections and promoting growth of tumors, states lead researcher Roberta Pacifici, PhD, with the Instituto Superiore di Sanita in Rome, Italy.

                    But researchers also say this finding could lead to new treatments for people with autoimmune disorders. Current treatments suppress the immune system -- thereby calming the abnormal immune response that plagues people with the conditions.

                    Cannabis lowers levels of the inflammation-promoting protein interleukin-2 and raises levels of the anti-inflammatory protein interleukin-10. Both of these findings could be of potential benefit for treating autoimmune disorders one day. {Moderator's Notes: this would include both systemic Lupus and Rheumatoid Arthritis}

                        great article, still have it saved.

                        keep it chill and stand strong man. my aunt has had lupus forever; she is doing pretty fine. just find quality medical treatment, and i'm sure you'll still live a active life. don't panic or fear it either, but be aware of it, yeah.

                        i'd suggest o.g master kush x bubbleberry, or any good sativa coupled with valerian extract.

                        eard it said that neptune and mars governs the blood, and that the soul finds its passage onto this plane via the blood. so might you try to purify your thoughts, and the sustaining energy will indeed follow. best of wishes.

                              So sorry to hear that mate, Lupus is one of those idiopathic diseases that rarely occur on humans and is even more rare on men.

                              Like many people here said try to get a good treatment for it and also on the side try alternative medicine, Your mind needs to be calm at all times .

                              My heart goes out to you mate.
