Damn..right at the 16sec part, right after he says Eden, the sound skips and I can't understand any of the dialogue. I get the club's empty and he played for free, but what did I miss?

Nah you didn't miss anything, that video was screwed up. Though I think the guy took out where they were really talking bad about EDEN. I've had that dvd since it came out and have watched the damn thing at least 50 times. I would say 100 but that seems like a lot...even though i pretty much have.

It came off the Global Underground Transmission 1 DVD.

Basically Sasha has been offered £10,000 earlier in the year to play The Star Club in San Antonio Ibiza. Sasha had spent his whole carrier avoiding the star club like the plague so he turned it down saying it was the athletes foot of Ibiza. Then Sasha was asked to play the Mayor of Ibiza's birthday at a new club called Eden, Which he agreed to for no fee only when he arrived he realised it was The Star Club.

i had this dvd but have missed placed it. there is also vol 2 which came out that i never got my hands on. Looks like i will need to get both again.

He must of known it was the Star Club before he entered though. I would of turned the car around straight away.

^ That video is from Mambo, he also played El Divino in 92, I think it was just The Star Club he didn't like. I saw him play Mambo in August 1999, he was playing Space in the morning 10 till 1. Only the night ended there for me as I got food poisoning and didn't make it to Space. It was the last day of my Holiday and traveling home with Salmonella wasn't nice. To make it worse I had to sit next to some bird called Debbie who wore a cowboy hat all the way home telling me how brilliant Sasha was at Space. I've still got the Photos from Mambo though.

Such a true statement about Sasha in the 90's from Chris Fortier.

Chris Fortier hey dude, during those years, sasha's power was strong. while john and sasha both played a good number of fade tracks and fade remixes, it was when sasha played something that the interest would explode... happened a few times in that decade and even more notable when sasha played "silence" at cream 1998 (while him and john only had it and john had played it for months before i gave to sasha), he opened and closed his set with it that night and the following monday ours phones lit up. it went from this little track only intended for a compilation to labels, record shops and djs banging on nettwerk to get a copy. eventually joanna massive convinced nettwerkk to press 500 copies for her exclusively for her shop.
